Countries I have visited

I just came across this great web site which gives you a World map highlighting the countries I have visited.

France

My First trip in 2000 July, I did not have a Digital Cam at that time so no photos..., my Six months stay at France took me to Germany, Italy and Netherlands.

Japan

May 2002, just after my Brother's wedding, I was in Japan from SHARP for 3 Weeks in a small place called NARA near Osaka.

Singapore

On Way Back from Japan, we had a one day stop over at Singapore

France

In 2003 Apr. I rejoined Philips and went to France for 3 months, but due to family emergency I had to cut down the trip to 2 months and come back.

China

In 2004 Begining, I joined the Digital Audio Group and in May 2005 Travelled to a place called Shenzhen ( South most point of China ) for 2 Weeks.

In 2006 May I made my Third trip to China and was fortunate to visit Great wall of China my Dream Destination.

Germany

I did couple of trips to Germany, Stuttgart to visit our customers, mostly all my trips were 2-3 days.
could not see much in Germany.

Visited Benz Museum and Alps Thanks to my good friend Uma could see Ulm Birth place of Albert Einstein.

Sweden

This One Country I would  love to visit anytime, again all my Stockholm visits very of 2-3 Days, but few of my colleagues like Avraham, Sumit, Yuval and Rudra  always made it special.

Visited places like The Vasa Museum, Gamla stan and my favorite the Fotografiska (The Photography Museum)

Thailand 

Visited Bangkok as part of Developer Conference of our company, it was great crowd could see some part of Bangkok on the cruise very happening place which hardly sleeps. 

Cambodia 

Extended our Bangkok trip to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, amazing all boys trip to remember for ever.

Portugal

This trip was unplanned trip as person who was suppose to go did not have VISA, went on a two trip to lisbon very hectic trip could just pay a quick visit to sea shore and old city.

Finland 

Thanks to Sandeep for insisting on presenting a paper at XP conference, went Helsinki for a week had a great conference, Uspenski Cathedral was a good sight seeing and of course Nokia office was a high point of the trip.

United Kingdom 

Sandeep and myself have got into habit of presenting papers at XP conference, this time was at scotland, Edinburgh. Castle, old city, city center, Museum...everything about this place was amazing, but sudden discovery of Arthur Conan Doyle was exciting. but best part was travel in Black taxi :)

Parivartana @ Oracle

Friends of Children and Hexaware came together as part of community involvment program of Hexaware in 2005 begining, when we met the guys from CSR team of Hexaware we had no clue as to what will come out of the meeting and what is that we want to do.

It was then the guys from Hexaware came up with the Survival Boot Camp called HOPE. The plan was to design a course for students doing their graduation to help them catch with English speaking, soft skills and getting a feel of Corporate environment.

We had the first batch with 16 students who finished the course in last year, following the success of the first batch, even after Hexaware became Oracle, they managed to get the second batch going with full josh and on 24th Aug. the second batch finished the course and Oracle celebrated the day as the Graduation day by having a party at their campus in white field. Here are some moments of the day.

The Kids were received by a reception, in the backgroud you see the painting of one of our students Usha who is doing her BFA from Chitrakala Prishath.

Krishna Nee Begane Baro

Gokulastami 2004, just 2 years back, My Niece Mahati was dressed up as Benne Krishana, it was such cute sight, here are some snaps.

Just 2 year after that 2006, Aksharam had arranged a procession of kids dressed up as Krishana and related charecters on the occasion of Gokulastami at their Girinagar Center.

Its hard to believe that its the same Mahathi getting dressed as Radha with her Cousin Prabhav dressed as Krishana, what a change in her expressions...

ಷಷ್ಟಾಬ್ಧಿ ಶಾಂತಿ

ಇಂದು ೧೭ ನೆ ಆಗಷ್ಟ, ೨೦೦೬, ನನ್ನ ಅತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನ ಅರವತ್ತನೆ ವರ್ಷದ ಶಾಂತಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಷಷ್ಟಿ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೆರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಅವರ ಮನೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಬಂದ ವಿಚಾರ ಯಂದರೆ, "ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಏನು ಹೆಳ ಬೇಕು ?"

"ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು...." ಅಥವ "Happy Married life" ಎನ್ನಬೇಕೆ ???

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೆಳಿದರೆ ಯಾವುದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಸಿಗದೆ, "Congratulations" ಅಂದೆ, ತಿಂಡಿಯ ನಂತರ ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದೆ.

ಆಟೋ ಹತ್ತಿ ಕೂತರು ನನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನ ಬಿಡದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ.....

ಅರವತ್ತು ಎಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ತಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದು, "ಅರವತಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಳು ಮರಳು"....

ಈದರ ಅರ್ಥ ಏನು ? ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಕೂತೆ,

ಕೋನೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿದ ವಿಷಯ

ಅರವತ್ತು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಮುದರುವ ವಯಸಲ್ಲಾ, ಅರಳುವ ವಯಸ್ಸು

ಅರವತ್ತರ ಹರಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮಗುವಿನ ಸಮಾನ, ಅಂದರೆ "ಬಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳು"

ಅರವತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೂವಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳು

ಈ ಯೊಚನೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು, ಆಟೋ ನನ್ನ ಕಛೇರಿಯ ಮೂಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು

೬೦ ರೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಕಛೇರಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ದಾಪುಗಾಲು ಹಾಕಿದೆ.

ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ

ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದು ಪಂಚಾಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ೬೦ ಸಂವತ್ಸರಗಳು ಇವೆ, ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ೬೦ ವರ್ಷ ವಾದರೆ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ೬೦ ಸಂವತ್ಸರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಾವು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸಂವತ್ಸರಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿರುತಾರೆ, ಇದು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೋಸ ಜನ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಈ ಶುಭ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಧಿರ್ಗಾಯುಶ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದು.

ಆಷ್ಟೆ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ದಾಂಪತ್ಯ ನಡೆಸುತಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯೋಡನೆ ಮರು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ, ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಧಾರೆಯರೆದು ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಜೊತೆ ವಾನಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಶ್ರಮ ಸೇರಲು ಮಾಡುವ ಸಿದ್ದತೆ ಈ ಶಾಂತಿ.
